Who’s who

I tend to talk about people in my life quite often so I thought it should introduce you.

Chris is my husband. We’ve been married for 2 years and together for 7. We live in northwest Iowa where Chris grew up and his mom, brother, sister-in-law and our niece live. He does freelance digital and broadcast production. We “met” playing softball for the company we worked for’s rec team. I know it’s cliche but he is my best friend and I can say without a doubt he pushes me to be a better version of myself.

Calie is our golden retriever. She’s six years old and I think she is the cutest puppy in the whole wide world (but I may be a bit biased). She was our first baby and is super spoiled. She gets so excited when people come to visit and thinks everyone is her best friend. Calie is also the inspiration for my dog treat company, Good Dog Diner.

We also have a cat named Nita. You probably won’t hear too much about her since she doesn’t go anywhere with us but I felt bad leaving her out! She is the sweetest, most loving cat I’ve ever been around.

This is my family (dad, mom and my sister, Stacy). They all live in Illinois, just across the Iowa/Illinois border.

This is the other half of my family/Chris’ family (Denise-Chris’ mom, Patrick-brother and Kayla-sister-in-law). They are definitely a huge part of my life, even more so now that we’re living in Sioux City. They welcomed me into the family with open arms and I can’t imagine them not being a part of my life at this point.
